CONCEPT
ARABESQUE is a ballet posistion, it indicates a position of the body where the dancer stands on one leg, while the other leg is extended behind the body, with both knees straight. In classical ballet, the term arabesque (aa-rah-besk; literally, “in Arabic fashion”. Specifically, “arabesque” references an architectural design term that describes and is a spiral. The arabesque design linearly, is parallel to the balletic position, because the body “spirals” from the crown of the head through the back and then straightens through the extended leg, as does the design of the same name.)
The fundamental concept of the design including THE BEAUTY OF NATURE and EVOVLING ARCHITECTURE. During the exploration of the beauty of nature, the golden ratio is discovered. The human proportion is then found to be the best to describe the concept of golden ratio. And BALLET expresses the beauty of the human proportion perfectly.
In ballet, there are tremendous number of counter-rotatuibs determined by the relationships among the foot, hand, and head. Therefore, in the design, it is divided into 4 parts which indicate the 2 parts of foot, hands and head. Area, height and the degree of rotation can be adjusted is every part.
The bulding is located at the the area created by the juction of Pitt Street Mall, Sydney Towm Castlereagh Street and King Street. The first part of the building is used as a shopping mall while the secondm third and forth part is used as offices.

Clear Acrylic Laser Cutting Test
After doing the clear acrylic laser cutting test, I've found that clear acrylic can present each level of the building clearly and it looks stronger than the boxboard. therfore, I decided to use clear acrylic for the assignment 3 final model.
